In May 2021 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction 20th and 21st Century Art Afternoon Session, which included the work Bali by Wang Xingwei. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 1,125,000.00 (€ 118,921.19), 25% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Wang Xingwei have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Blind in October 2014 with an auction result of HKD 9,400,000.00 (€ 967,757.38).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 25 % übertroffen
Im Mai 2021 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion 20th and 21st Century Art Afternoon Session durch, in der auch die Arbeit Bali von Wang Xingwei zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 1.125.000,00 (€ 118.921,19) und damit 25% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Wang Xingwei auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Blind im Oktober 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 9.400.000,00 (€ 967.757,38).
