Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In November last year Christies in Hong Kong held the auction 20th/21st Century Art Evening Sale, which included the work Untitled (Small Tree) by Wang Xingwei. Here, the upper estimate of HKD 2,800,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for HKD 3,150,000.00 (€ 390,889.28). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Wang Xingwei - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Blind, which sold at auction in October 2014 for HKD 9,400,000.00 (€ 967,757.38).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im November letzten Jahres führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion 20th/21st Century Art Evening Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Untitled (Small Tree) von Wang Xingwei zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von HKD 2.800.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für HKD 3.150.000,00 (€ 390.889,28) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Wang Xingwei mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Blind beobachtet, die im Oktober 2014 für HKD 9.400.000,00 (€ 967.757,38) versteigert wurde.
