Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Untitled (Painter) by Wang Xingwei was auctioned at Christies in Hong Kong in May last year. The price achieved of HKD 693,000.00 (€ 82,273.97) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 600,000.00 – 800,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Wang Xingwei achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Blind in October 2014 with an auction result of HKD 9,400,000.00 (€ 967,757.38).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Untitled (Painter) von Wang Xingwei kam im Mai letzten Jahres bei Christies in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 693.000,00 (€ 82.273,97) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 600.000,00 – 800.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Wang Xingwei erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Blind im Oktober 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 9.400.000,00 (€ 967.757,38).
