Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Untitled (Shidu) by Wang Xingwei was auctioned at Christies in Hong Kong in December 2021. It changed hands for a price of HKD 1,187,500.00 (€ 134,509.19) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of HKD 800,000.00 – 1,200,000.00. Admittedly, works by Wang Xingwei have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Blind in October 2014 with an auction result of HKD 9,400,000.00 (€ 967,757.38).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Untitled (Shidu) von Wang Xingwei kam im Dezember 2021 bei Christies in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von HKD 1.187.500,00 (€ 134.509,19) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 800.000,00 – 1.200.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Wang Xingwei auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Blind im Oktober 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 9.400.000,00 (€ 967.757,38).
