Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Untitled (Heart-Shaped Dance) by Wang Xingwei was sold in the 20th Century & Contemporary Art Evening Sale in Association with Poly Auction auction at Phillips in Hong Kong in November 2021. The price achieved of HKD 3,780,000.00 (€ 420,297.69) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 2,800,000.00 – 4,800,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Wang Xingwei - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Blind, which sold at auction in October 2014 for HKD 9,400,000.00 (€ 967,757.38).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Untitled (Heart-Shaped Dance) von Wang Xingwei wurde im November 2021 in der Auktion 20th Century & Contemporary Art Evening Sale in Association with Poly Auction bei Phillips in Hong Kong versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 3.780.000,00 (€ 420.297,69) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 2.800.000,00 – 4.800.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Wang Xingwei mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Blind beobachtet, die im Oktober 2014 für HKD 9.400.000,00 (€ 967.757,38) versteigert wurde.
