Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Untitled (Small Begging) by Wang Xingwei was sold in the Modern and Contemporary Art auction at POLY in Grand Hyatt Hong Kong in October this year. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 1,200,000.00 – 2,200,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 1,440,000.00 (€ 174,140.80) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Wang Xingwei have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Blind in October 2014 with an auction result of HKD 9,400,000.00 (€ 967,757.38).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Untitled (Small Begging) von Wang Xingwei wurde im Oktober diesen Jahres in der Auktion Modern and Contemporary Art bei POLY in Grand Hyatt Hong Kong versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 1.200.000,00 – 2.200.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 1.440.000,00 (€ 174.140,80) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Wang Xingwei auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Blind im Oktober 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 9.400.000,00 (€ 967.757,38).
