The work Untitled (6 Missiles) by Wang Du was auctioned at Phillips in London in June 2008. The result of GBP 10,000.00 (€ 12,640.34) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Wang Du achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work No Comment in March 2007 with an auction result of USD 264,000.00 (€ 197,397.94).
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Die Arbeit Untitled (6 Missiles) von Wang Du kam im Juni 2008 bei Phillips in London zur Auktion. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von GBP 10.000,00 (€ 12.640,34) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 10.000,00 – 15.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Wang Du erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit No Comment im März 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 264.000,00 (€ 197.397,94).
