The work Chaos Script Calligraphy-Raising a Wine Cup under the Bamboo by Huang Tingjian by Wang Dongling was sold in the Fine Chinese Modern and Contemporary Ink Paintings auction at Christies in Hong Kong in November 2021. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 275,000.00 (€ 30,577.21), 38% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Wang Dongling - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Harmonious Opposition, which sold at auction in April 2016 for HKD 875,000.00 (€ 98,581.85).

Die Arbeit Chaos Script Calligraphy-Raising a Wine Cup under the Bamboo by Huang Tingjian von Wang Dongling wurde im November 2021 in der Auktion Fine Chinese Modern and Contemporary Ink Paintings bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 275.000,00 (€ 30.577,21) und damit 38% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Wang Dongling mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Harmonious Opposition beobachtet, die im April 2016 für HKD 875.000,00 (€ 98.581,85) versteigert wurde.
