It achieved a price of USD 3,250.00 (€ 2,657.40), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 63%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Wang Dongling achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Harmonious Opposition in April 2016 with an auction result of HKD 875,000.00 (€ 98,581.85).

Die Arbeit Calligraphy - Beauty von Wang Dongling wurde im Dezember 2020 in der Auktion Chinese Paintings Online: Modern Masters bei Christies in New York versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 3.250,00 (€ 2.657,40) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 63%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Wang Dongling erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Harmonious Opposition im April 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 875.000,00 (€ 98.581,85).
