Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2016 Christies in Shanghai held the auction FIRST OPEN | Shanghai, which included the work Liu Yong – Lyrics to Tingling Bells in the Rain by Wang Dongling. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of CNY 100,000.00 – 200,000.00, the actual price achieved of CNY 120,000.00 (€ 16,157.64) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Wang Dongling have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Harmonious Opposition in April 2016 with an auction result of HKD 875,000.00 (€ 98,581.85).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2016 führte Christies in Shanghai die Auktion FIRST OPEN | Shanghai durch, in der auch die Arbeit Liu Yong – Lyrics to Tingling Bells in the Rain von Wang Dongling zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von CNY 100.000,00 – 200.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von CNY 120.000,00 (€ 16.157,64) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Wang Dongling auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Harmonious Opposition im April 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 875.000,00 (€ 98.581,85).
