This artwork by Wang Dongling achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in Hong Kong in April 2016. In the The Origo Collection — Contemporary Ink Art auction, the work Harmonious Opposition sold for HKD 875,000.00 (€ 98,581.85) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 350,000.00. This high result makes Harmonious Opposition the most expensive artwork by Wang Dongling that we have observed at auctions so far.
