Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Chaos Script Calligraphy – Her Light Step Does Not Grace Lakeside Road by Wang Dongling was sold in the Chinese Contemporary Ink auction at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2019. The price achieved of HKD 200,000.00 (€ 22,889.95) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 160,000.00 – 220,000.00. Admittedly, works by Wang Dongling have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Harmonious Opposition in April 2016 with an auction result of HKD 875,000.00 (€ 98,581.85).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Chaos Script Calligraphy – Her Light Step Does Not Grace Lakeside Road von Wang Dongling wurde im Mai 2019 in der Auktion Chinese Contemporary Ink bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 200.000,00 (€ 22.889,95) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 160.000,00 – 220.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Wang Dongling auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Harmonious Opposition im April 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 875.000,00 (€ 98.581,85).
