This artwork by Wang Chengpei achieved an unexpectedly high price at POLY in Hong Kong in July last year. In the Fine Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy auction, the work Phoenix sold for HKD 24,000.00 (€ 2,994.71) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 12,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Wang Chengpei achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Landscape After Ancient Master in April this year with an auction result of HKD 96,000.00 (€ 98,034.78).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 100 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Wang Chengpei erzielte im Juli letzten Jahres bei POLY in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Fine Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy wurde die Arbeit Phoenix für HKD 24.000,00 (€ 2.994,71) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 12.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Wang Chengpei erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Landscape After Ancient Master im April diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 96.000,00 (€ 98.034,78).
