Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Butterflies And Lingzhi by Wang Chengpei was sold in the Fine Classical Chinese Paintings auction at Sothebys in Hong Kong in July 2020. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 30,000.00 – 50,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 35,000.00 (€ 3,834.72) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Wang Chengpei achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Landscape After Ancient Master in April this year with an auction result of HKD 96,000.00 (€ 98,034.78).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Butterflies And Lingzhi von Wang Chengpei wurde im Juli 2020 in der Auktion Fine Classical Chinese Paintings bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 30.000,00 – 50.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 35.000,00 (€ 3.834,72) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Wang Chengpei erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Landscape After Ancient Master im April diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 96.000,00 (€ 98.034,78).
