Auction result well in line with expectations
In April 2019 POLY held the auction Fine Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy I, which included the work Flower by Wang Chengpei. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 28,000.00 – 380,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 33,040.00 (€ 3,760.91) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Wang Chengpei achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Landscape After Ancient Master in April this year with an auction result of HKD 96,000.00 (€ 98,034.78).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April 2019 führte POLY die Auktion Fine Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy I durch, in der auch die Arbeit Flower von Wang Chengpei zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 28.000,00 – 380.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 33.040,00 (€ 3.760,91) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Wang Chengpei erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Landscape After Ancient Master im April diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 96.000,00 (€ 98.034,78).
