In the The Beauty of Brushes - A Selection of Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy 3 auction, the work Peach Blossom，Calligraphy sold for HKD 118,000.00 (€ 13,474.01) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 50,000.00. Admittedly, works by Wang Chengpei have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Landscape After Ancient Master in April this year with an auction result of HKD 96,000.00 (€ 98,034.78).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Wang Chengpei erzielte im Mai 2017 bei POLY in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion The Beauty of Brushes - A Selection of Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy 3 wurde die Arbeit Peach Blossom，Calligraphy für HKD 118.000,00 (€ 13.474,01) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 50.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Wang Chengpei auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Landscape After Ancient Master im April diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 96.000,00 (€ 98.034,78).
