Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2015 POLY in Hong Kong held the auction Classical Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy, which included the work Conjugal Felicity (Lotus and Mandarin Ducks) by Wang Chengpei. The price achieved of HKD 106,200.00 (€ 12,406.99) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 90,000.00 – 120,000.00. Admittedly, works by Wang Chengpei have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Landscape After Ancient Master in April this year with an auction result of HKD 96,000.00 (€ 98,034.78).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2015 führte POLY in Hong Kong die Auktion Classical Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy durch, in der auch die Arbeit Conjugal Felicity (Lotus and Mandarin Ducks) von Wang Chengpei zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 106.200,00 (€ 12.406,99) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 90.000,00 – 120.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Wang Chengpei auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Landscape After Ancient Master im April diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 96.000,00 (€ 98.034,78).
