Auction result misses estimated price range
In December 2008 a collector was able to acquire the work Birds and Flowers by Wang Chengpei for HKD 75,000.00 (€ 6,950.93). This price was achieved in the auction Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy at Christies in Hong Kong and was even below the estimate range of HKD 80,000.00 – 100,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Wang Chengpei achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Landscape After Ancient Master in April this year with an auction result of HKD 96,000.00 (€ 98,034.78).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Dezember 2008 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Birds and Flowers von Wang Chengpei für HKD 75.000,00 (€ 6.950,93) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy bei Christies in Hong Kong erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 80.000,00 – 100.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Wang Chengpei erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Landscape After Ancient Master im April diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 96.000,00 (€ 98.034,78).
