In May 2019 Phillips in New York held the auction 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale, Afternoon Session, which included the work Clown Shoes by Walter Price. The »bidding war« ended at USD 5,625.00 (€ 5,045.30), 61% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Walter Price achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Parasympathetic in March this year with an auction result of GBP 45,720.00 (€ 52,015.33).

Im Mai 2019 führte Phillips in New York die Auktion 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale, Afternoon Session durch, in der auch die Arbeit Clown Shoes von Walter Price zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 5.625,00 (€ 5.045,30) und damit 61% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Walter Price erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Parasympathetic im März diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 45.720,00 (€ 52.015,33).
