This artwork by Walter Price achieved an unexpectedly high price at Phillips in London in October 2021. In the 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale auction, the work Sit ENDS sold for GBP 35,280.00 (€ 41,797.27) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 20,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Walter Price; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Parasympathetic sold at auction in March this year with the realized price of GBP 45,720.00 (€ 52,015.33).
