Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Felt soot 5 by Walter Price was auctioned at Phillips in London in March last year. The price achieved of GBP 17,640.00 (€ 20,914.21) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 15,000.00 – 20,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Walter Price - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Parasympathetic, which sold at auction in March this year for GBP 45,720.00 (€ 52,015.33).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Felt soot 5 von Walter Price kam im März letzten Jahres bei Phillips in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 17.640,00 (€ 20.914,21) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 15.000,00 – 20.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Walter Price mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Parasympathetic beobachtet, die im März diesen Jahres für GBP 45.720,00 (€ 52.015,33) versteigert wurde.
