Auction result well in line with expectations
In June 2015 Sothebys in New York held the auction Contemporary Curated, which included the work Blue Paris by Walter Darby Bannard. The price achieved of USD 6,250.00 (€ 5,603.37) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. Admittedly, works by Walter Darby Bannard have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Alby's Burgundy in December 2017 with an auction result of USD 31,250.00 (€ 25,994.01).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juni 2015 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Contemporary Curated durch, in der auch die Arbeit Blue Paris von Walter Darby Bannard zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 6.250,00 (€ 5.603,37) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 5.000,00 – 7.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Walter Darby Bannard auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Alby's Burgundy im Dezember 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 31.250,00 (€ 25.994,01).
