Auction result well in line with expectations

The price achieved of USD 4,700.00 (€ 5,296.37) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Walter Chappell - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Gestures Of Infinity, which sold at auction in June 2010 for USD 20,000.00 (€ 16,272.07).
