It achieved a price of GBP 4,080.00 (€ 4,554.66), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 36%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Vittorio Matteo Corcos achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Alla fontana (Le due colombe) in October 2020 with an auction result of USD 687,500.00 (€ 590,280.76).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 36 % übertroffen
Die Arbeit Portrait of a lady von Vittorio Matteo Corcos wurde im November 2020 in der Auktion British and European Art bei Bonhams in London versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 4.080,00 (€ 4.554,66) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 36%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Vittorio Matteo Corcos erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Alla fontana (Le due colombe) im Oktober 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 687.500,00 (€ 590.280,76).
