Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In May 2018 Sothebys in London held the auction 19th Century European Paintings, which included the work Italian Girl In White by Vittorio Matteo Corcos. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 60,000.00 (€ 68,323.91), 20% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Vittorio Matteo Corcos have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Alla fontana (Le due colombe) in October 2020 with an auction result of USD 687,500.00 (€ 590,280.76).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Mai 2018 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion 19th Century European Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Italian Girl In White von Vittorio Matteo Corcos zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 60.000,00 (€ 68.323,91) und damit 20% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Vittorio Matteo Corcos auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Alla fontana (Le due colombe) im Oktober 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 687.500,00 (€ 590.280,76).
