Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Italian piazza Santa Trinità, Florence by Vittorio Matteo Corcos was auctioned at Sothebys in London in December 2017. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 30,000.00 – 50,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 31,250.00 (€ 35,167.30) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Vittorio Matteo Corcos achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Alla fontana (Le due colombe) in October 2020 with an auction result of USD 687,500.00 (€ 590,280.76).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Italian piazza Santa Trinità, Florence von Vittorio Matteo Corcos kam im Dezember 2017 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 30.000,00 – 50.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 31.250,00 (€ 35.167,30) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Vittorio Matteo Corcos erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Alla fontana (Le due colombe) im Oktober 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 687.500,00 (€ 590.280,76).
