This artwork by Vittorio Matteo Corcos achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in London in December 2021. In the European & British Art auction, the work Portrait of Madame L Cappiello sold for GBP 23,940.00 (€ 28,555.40) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 12,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Vittorio Matteo Corcos achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Alla fontana (Le due colombe) in October 2020 with an auction result of USD 687,500.00 (€ 590,280.76).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 100 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Vittorio Matteo Corcos erzielte im Dezember 2021 bei Sothebys in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion European & British Art wurde die Arbeit Portrait of Madame L Cappiello für GBP 23.940,00 (€ 28.555,40) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 12.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Vittorio Matteo Corcos erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Alla fontana (Le due colombe) im Oktober 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 687.500,00 (€ 590.280,76).
