The result of USD 40,000.00 (€ 35,152.47) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of USD 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Vittorio Matteo Corcos achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Alla fontana (Le due colombe) in October 2020 with an auction result of USD 687,500.00 (€ 590,280.76).

Die Arbeit Italian The Three Aces von Vittorio Matteo Corcos kam im Februar 2019 bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von USD 40.000,00 (€ 35.152,47) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 40.000,00 – 60.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Vittorio Matteo Corcos erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Alla fontana (Le due colombe) im Oktober 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 687.500,00 (€ 590.280,76).
