This artwork by Victor Man achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in New York in September 2012. In the Contemporary Art auction, the work Under The Protection And The Feeling Of Yesterday...And So Becomes What Is Called An Evangelist sold for USD 52,500.00 (€ 40,836.96) - well above the upper estimate of USD 20,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Victor Man achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Weltinnenraum (World Within) in June this year with an auction result of GBP 1,734,000.00 (€ 2,018,077.47).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Victor Man erzielte im September 2012 bei Sothebys in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Contemporary Art wurde die Arbeit Under The Protection And The Feeling Of Yesterday...And So Becomes What Is Called An Evangelist für USD 52.500,00 (€ 40.836,96) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 20.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Victor Man erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Weltinnenraum (World Within) im Juni diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 1.734.000,00 (€ 2.018.077,47).
