In March this year Christies in London held the auction Post-War and Contemporary Art Day Sale, which included the work Minutes by Victor Man. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 37,800.00 (€ 43,004.80), 26% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Victor Man achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Weltinnenraum (World Within) in June this year with an auction result of GBP 1,734,000.00 (€ 2,018,077.47).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 26 % übertroffen
Im März diesen Jahres führte Christies in London die Auktion Post-War and Contemporary Art Day Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Minutes von Victor Man zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 37.800,00 (€ 43.004,80) und damit 26% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Victor Man erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Weltinnenraum (World Within) im Juni diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 1.734.000,00 (€ 2.018.077,47).
