In March last year Christies in Paris held the auction Oeuvres Modernes sur papier / Art Impressionniste et Moderne, which included the work Paysage by Victor Charreton. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 2,142.00 43% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Victor Charreton achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Château sur la rivière in May 2007 with an auction result of USD 36,000.00 (€ 26,759.83).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 43 % übertroffen
Im März letzten Jahres führte Christies in Paris die Auktion Oeuvres Modernes sur papier / Art Impressionniste et Moderne durch, in der auch die Arbeit Paysage von Victor Charreton zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 2.142,00 und damit 43% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Victor Charreton erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Château sur la rivière im Mai 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 36.000,00 (€ 26.759,83).
