Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Paysage D'Hiver by Victor Charreton was auctioned at Artcurial in Paris in July 2020, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of EUR 1,500.00 – 2,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for EUR 1,300.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Victor Charreton achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Château sur la rivière in May 2007 with an auction result of USD 36,000.00 (€ 26,759.83).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Paysage D'Hiver von Victor Charreton im Juli 2020 bei Artcurial in Paris versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 1.500,00 – 2.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für EUR 1.300,00 den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Victor Charreton erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Château sur la rivière im Mai 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 36.000,00 (€ 26.759,83).
