This artwork by Victor Charreton achieved an unexpectedly high price at Artcurial in Paris in April this year. In the Modern Art auction, the work Paysage de sous-bois en automne sold for EUR 2,886.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 1,500.00. Admittedly, works by Victor Charreton have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Château sur la rivière in May 2007 with an auction result of USD 36,000.00 (€ 26,759.83).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 92 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Victor Charreton erzielte im April diesen Jahres bei Artcurial in Paris einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Modern Art wurde die Arbeit Paysage de sous-bois en automne für EUR 2.886,00 versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 1.500,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Victor Charreton auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Château sur la rivière im Mai 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 36.000,00 (€ 26.759,83).
