This artwork by Utagawa Yoshiiku achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Amsterdam in May 2008. In the Asian Art auction, the work Unknown sold for EUR 1,875.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 1,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Utagawa Yoshiiku achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Artisans And Events Of The Twelve Months in March 2021 with an auction result of USD 52,500.00 (€ 44,707.49).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Utagawa Yoshiiku erzielte im Mai 2008 bei Christies in Amsterdam einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Asian Art wurde die Arbeit Unknown für EUR 1.875,00 versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 1.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Utagawa Yoshiiku erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Artisans And Events Of The Twelve Months im März 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 52.500,00 (€ 44.707,49).
