Auction result well in line with expectations
The work 23 woodblock prints from the series Shunshoku sanjūroku kaiseki by Utagawa Yoshiiku was sold in the Iron and InkPrints and Paintings, featuring Tetsubin from the Crawford Collection auction at Bonhams in New York in July last year. The price achieved of USD 1,530.00 (€ 1,499.71) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 1,200.00 – 1,800.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Utagawa Yoshiiku achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Artisans And Events Of The Twelve Months in March 2021 with an auction result of USD 52,500.00 (€ 44,707.49).

Die Arbeit 23 woodblock prints from the series Shunshoku sanjūroku kaiseki von Utagawa Yoshiiku wurde im Juli letzten Jahres in der Auktion Iron and InkPrints and Paintings, featuring Tetsubin from the Crawford Collection bei Bonhams in New York versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 1.530,00 (€ 1.499,71) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 1.200,00 – 1.800,00 angegeben worden.
