A memorial portrait of Kuniyoshi, the text states that his given name was Igusa Magosaburo, his artist's name was Choro and his Buddhist name was Shinsuin Hosan Kokuho Shinshi, that he died on the fifth day of the third month of the Year of the Cock (1861) the first year of the Bunkyu period in his 65th year, and that he was buried in the Daisenji temple at Asakusa Hakkendera, signed Ikkeisai Yoshiiku kin [in appreciation], seal Keisai, aratame seal Cock 3 (1861), good impression, colours and generally good condition, laid down, some wear, and; a triptych, Isamashi Kuniyoshi kiri no tsuimoyo (Brave Kuniyoshi with his Paulownia Design), Kuniyoshi and his pupils are carrying fans with kirimon designs in procession at the Sanno festival, signed Ichiyusai Kuniyoshi, kiri seal, censors's seals Hama and Kinugasa, good impression, some fading of colours, fair condition, some rubbing and soiling; and a memorial portrait of Kuniyoshi who is followed by his pupil Yoshifusa, the accompanying text

The work Unknown by Utagawa Yoshiiku was sold in the Japanese Prints, including The B.W. Robinson Collection auction at Christies in London in November 2007. It achieved a price of GBP 2,250.00 (€ 3,150.58), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 25%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Utagawa Yoshiiku achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Artisans And Events Of The Twelve Months in March 2021 with an auction result of USD 52,500.00 (€ 44,707.49).

Die Arbeit Unknown von Utagawa Yoshiiku wurde im November 2007 in der Auktion Japanese Prints, including The B.W. Robinson Collection bei Christies in London versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 2.250,00 (€ 3.150,58) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 25%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Utagawa Yoshiiku erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Artisans And Events Of The Twelve Months im März 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 52.500,00 (€ 44.707,49).
