In December 2017 Christies in New York held the auction First Open | Post-War & Contemporary Art, which included the work Untitled (02.6) by Uta Barth. The »bidding war« ended at USD 7,500.00 (€ 6,238.56), 25% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Uta Barth have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Untitled (02.4) in May 2006 with an auction result of USD 38,400.00 (€ 29,922.86).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 25 % übertroffen
Im Dezember 2017 führte Christies in New York die Auktion First Open | Post-War & Contemporary Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Untitled (02.6) von Uta Barth zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 7.500,00 (€ 6.238,56) und damit 25% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Uta Barth auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Untitled (02.4) im Mai 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 38.400,00 (€ 29.922,86).
