Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Field #23, 1998 by Uta Barth was sold in the Post-War & Contemporary Art X Made In California auction at Bonhams in Los Angeles in September last year. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 15,000.00 – 25,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 15,300.00 (€ 15,639.37) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by Uta Barth have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in May 2006 the work Untitled (02.4) was auctioned for USD 38,400.00 (€ 29,922.86).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Field #23, 1998 von Uta Barth wurde im September letzten Jahres in der Auktion Post-War & Contemporary Art X Made In California bei Bonhams in Los Angeles versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 15.000,00 – 25.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 15.300,00 (€ 15.639,37) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Andere Arbeiten von Uta Barth konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im Mai 2006 die Arbeit Untitled (02.4) für USD 38.400,00 (€ 29.922,86) versteigert.
