Auction result well in line with expectations
In September 2021 Sothebys in New York held the auction A Life Among Artists: Contemporary Photographs from an Esteemed Private Collection, which included the work Untitled (from . . .and of time) by Uta Barth. The price achieved of USD 6,048.00 (€ 5,224.15) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. Admittedly, works by Uta Barth have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Untitled (02.4) in May 2006 with an auction result of USD 38,400.00 (€ 29,922.86).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im September 2021 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion A Life Among Artists: Contemporary Photographs from an Esteemed Private Collection durch, in der auch die Arbeit Untitled (from . . .and of time) von Uta Barth zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 6.048,00 (€ 5.224,15) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 5.000,00 – 7.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Uta Barth auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Untitled (02.4) im Mai 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 38.400,00 (€ 29.922,86).
