In October 2008 Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Paintings, which included the work Poem Of Blood #3 by Ugo Untoro. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 475,000.00 (€ 48,316.51), 70% above the upper estimate. This high result makes Poem Of Blood #3 the most expensive artwork by Ugo Untoro that we have observed at auctions so far.
