In May 2016 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Asian Contemporary Art (Day Sale), which included the work Golden Bird by Ugo Untoro. The auction ended at the price of HKD 50,000.00 (€ 5,779.07), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of HKD 40,000.00 – 50,000.00. Admittedly, works by Ugo Untoro have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Poem Of Blood #3 in October 2008 with an auction result of HKD 475,000.00 (€ 48,316.51).
Zuschlag beim oberen Schätzpreis
Im Mai 2016 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Asian Contemporary Art (Day Sale) durch, in der auch die Arbeit Golden Bird von Ugo Untoro zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von HKD 50.000,00 (€ 5.779,07) entsprach exakt dem oberen Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 40.000,00 – 50.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Ugo Untoro auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Poem Of Blood #3 im Oktober 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 475.000,00 (€ 48.316,51).
