This artwork by Ugo Untoro achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in Hong Kong in April 2008. In the Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Paintings auction, the work Monument sold for HKD 247,500.00 (€ 20,397.13) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 90,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Ugo Untoro - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Poem Of Blood #3, which sold at auction in October 2008 for HKD 475,000.00 (€ 48,316.51).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Ugo Untoro erzielte im April 2008 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Paintings wurde die Arbeit Monument für HKD 247.500,00 (€ 20.397,13) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 90.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Ugo Untoro mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Poem Of Blood #3 beobachtet, die im Oktober 2008 für HKD 475.000,00 (€ 48.316,51) versteigert wurde.
