This artwork by Tsang Tsou Choi achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in Hong Kong in January 2016. In the Boundless: Contemporary Art auction, the work Calligraphy On Bearbearqee (Two Works) sold for HKD 106,250.00 (€ 12,594.63) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 60,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Tsang Tsou Choi achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Calligraphy in October 2013 with an auction result of HKD 1,840,000.00 (€ 174,606.44).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 77 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Tsang Tsou Choi erzielte im Januar 2016 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Boundless: Contemporary Art wurde die Arbeit Calligraphy On Bearbearqee (Two Works) für HKD 106.250,00 (€ 12.594,63) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 60.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Tsang Tsou Choi erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Calligraphy im Oktober 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 1.840.000,00 (€ 174.606,44).
