Sold at the upper estimate price
In October 2019 Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction Contemporary Art, which included the work Calligraphy by Tsang Tsou Choi. The auction ended at the price of HKD 60,000.00 (€ 6,857.91), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of HKD 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Tsang Tsou Choi achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Calligraphy in October 2013 with an auction result of HKD 1,840,000.00 (€ 174,606.44).
Zuschlag beim oberen Schätzpreis
Im Oktober 2019 führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion Contemporary Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Calligraphy von Tsang Tsou Choi zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von HKD 60.000,00 (€ 6.857,91) entsprach exakt dem oberen Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 40.000,00 – 60.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Tsang Tsou Choi erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Calligraphy im Oktober 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 1.840.000,00 (€ 174.606,44).
