Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Toyin Ojih Odutola achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in October 2019. In the Post-War and Contemporary Art Day Auction auction, the work Manifesto sold for GBP 212,500.00 (€ 246,484.76) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 80,000.00. Admittedly, works by Toyin Ojih Odutola have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Through Line in November 2021 with an auction result of USD 2,198,000.00 (€ 1,947,373.08).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Toyin Ojih Odutola erzielte im Oktober 2019 bei Christies in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Post-War and Contemporary Art Day Auction wurde die Arbeit Manifesto für GBP 212.500,00 (€ 246.484,76) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 80.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Toyin Ojih Odutola auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Through Line im November 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 2.198.000,00 (€ 1.947.373,08).
