Auction result well in line with expectations
In February 2016 Christies in London held the auction Impressionist & Modern Art & Picasso Ceramics, which included the work Untitled (Bez názvu) by Toyen. The price achieved of GBP 5,000.00 (€ 6,406.88) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Toyen achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Tu t'évapores dans un buisson de cris in October this year with an auction result of EUR 2,823,000.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Februar 2016 führte Christies in London die Auktion Impressionist & Modern Art & Picasso Ceramics durch, in der auch die Arbeit Untitled (Bez názvu) von Toyen zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 5.000,00 (€ 6.406,88) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Toyen erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Tu t'évapores dans un buisson de cris im Oktober diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 2.823.000,00.
