Auction result misses estimated price range
In March this year a collector was able to acquire the work Yesterday by Tony Matelli for USD 8,500.00 (€ 7,818.25). This price was achieved in the auction New Now at Phillips in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00 set by the auction house. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Tony Matelli - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Lost & Sick, which sold at auction in September 2011 for USD 36,250.00 (€ 26,953.68).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im März diesen Jahres konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Yesterday von Tony Matelli für USD 8.500,00 (€ 7.818,25) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion New Now bei Phillips in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 10.000,00 – 15.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Tony Matelli mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Lost & Sick beobachtet, die im September 2011 für USD 36.250,00 (€ 26.953,68) versteigert wurde.
