Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Tomoya Tsukamoto achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in New York in March last year. In the Post-War to Present auction, the work Journey of Colors sold for USD 151,200.00 (€ 136,302.17) - well above the upper estimate of USD 60,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Tomoya Tsukamoto; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Memory of the Forest - Tiger sold at auction in May 2016 with the realized price of HKD 1,840,000.00 (€ 212,669.96).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Tomoya Tsukamoto erzielte im März letzten Jahres bei Christies in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Post-War to Present wurde die Arbeit Journey of Colors für USD 151.200,00 (€ 136.302,17) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 60.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Tomoya Tsukamoto; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Memory of the Forest - Tiger im Mai 2016 mit dem Hammerpreis von HKD 1.840.000,00 (€ 212.669,96).
