This artwork by Tomoya Tsukamoto achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2019. In the 20th Century & Contemporary Art (Afternoon Session) auction, the work Journey sold for HKD 1,000,000.00 (€ 114,449.73) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 550,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Tomoya Tsukamoto; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Memory of the Forest - Tiger sold at auction in May 2016 with the realized price of HKD 1,840,000.00 (€ 212,669.96).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Tomoya Tsukamoto erzielte im Mai 2019 bei Christies in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion 20th Century & Contemporary Art (Afternoon Session) wurde die Arbeit Journey für HKD 1.000.000,00 (€ 114.449,73) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 550.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Tomoya Tsukamoto; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Memory of the Forest - Tiger im Mai 2016 mit dem Hammerpreis von HKD 1.840.000,00 (€ 212.669,96).
