This artwork by Tomoya Tsukamoto achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2016. In the Asian Contemporary Art (Day Sale) auction, the work Memory of the Forest - Tiger sold for HKD 1,840,000.00 (€ 212,669.96) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 700,000.00. This high result makes Memory of the Forest - Tiger the most expensive artwork by Tomoya Tsukamoto that we have observed at auctions so far.
